A new bib short platform for committed daily riding, whether that’s dedicated training regimens, the weekly crit series, or weekend centuries.
WHY WE MADE IT
We wanted an all-inclusive solution for daily riding. That’s simple in concept; it’s more complicated in the execution. To meet our expectations, we built the premier UMA GT on a platform of trickledown tech, including an updated AEPD fit profile and bib suspension infrastructure. We also updated the insert, reducing the footprint, and adding an aesthetic touch with the Odor Control Top Sheet Tex in Sugar Blue.

Endurance epics, interval sessions, and even short races—every time you’re in the saddle. Pair with an UMA GT jersey for the complete warm-weather layering system.

Type.429 is stretchy enough for a streamlined fit; breathable enough for the heights of summer; compressive enough to respond to and support your body; and substantial enough to resist the abuse of countless kilometers. A true daily workhorse.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT
C2 AEPD regularFit is based on our performance race models but tuned for comfort with a more accommodating waist and our standard leg length. Streamlined performance for all-day cycling.
ENGINEERING
- X-frame: A-frame suspension inherited from the DYORA RS bibs. Limits sag on the lower back for a confident fit that stabilizes the chamois and main body panel.
- Ultralight Leg Grippers: A silicone treatment woven through the 4.5cm bands creates a secure hold without restriction or transitional ridges between body and shorts.
UMA GT C2 INSERT
- Shock-Absorb Damping Mono: Compressive foam layers in an 9mm endurance platform. Thermoformed shaping reduces ridges and irritation.
- goldenGate: The stitching pattern anchors the front and back but lets the insert’s body float, allowing the chamois to move with your body rather than against it.
- 3D Waffle: A patented, three-layer, perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
